MOTIVES
Verbal violence in soccer fields is unfortunately an undeniable reality. For this reason, one of the main objectives of the RFEF, and to which we join from the Organization of the Donosti Cup, is to eliminate insults towards rivals and referees.
For this reason, the Donosti Cup will apply from this edition the "Protocol of Effective Action against Verbal Violence" with the intention of combating threats, insults and racist, xenophobic, sexist and intolerant manifestations.
DEFINITION
Verbal violence is understood to mean insults, serious threats and racist, xenophobic, sexist and intolerant statements made on a continuous basis.
ACTION PROTOCOL
- MEASURE 1: STOPPAGE OF THE MATCH
The referee shall stop the match and inform the field delegate of the existence of continued verbal violence. The delegate, either through the public address system or personally, will warn the perpetrators of such insults to stop their attitude.
- MEASURE 2: TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE MATCH
If verbal violence persists after the public has been warned beforehand, the referee will temporarily suspend the match and invite the teams to retire to the locker room.
- MEASURE 3: DEFINITIVE SUSPENSION OF THE MATCH
If the perpetrators of the acts of verbal violence cannot be expelled or if other similar acts are reproduced by new spectators once the previous measures have been applied, the referee will agree to the definitive suspension of the match. The Competition Committee of the Donosti Cup will determine if the result at the time of the suspension of the match is maintained, or if the team whose fans have been the perpetrators of verbal violence, should be sanctioned for this reason.
