Donosti Cup will have 250 referees of 22 different nationalities.
The referee collective grows in number and becomes even more international
Donosti Cup will have 250 referees from 22 different nationalities to referee the more than 2.000 matches that will be played in this edition. Most of the referees will belong to the Gipuzkoa School, with a total of 200 referees, but we will also have the participation of 40 foreign referees of 21 different nationalities: Austria, Czechia, England, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Malta, Netherlands, Northern, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, USA and Wales.
The foreign referees are members of the Referee Abroad Academy (RAA), an association that works with high-potential young referees throughout Europe. During the Donosti Cup, the referees of this Academy will be accompanied by FIFA Observers, who will closely follow their performances and give them complementary training.
We would like to thank all the referees for their collaboration in this edition. Without them, we would not be able to organize a tournament of this size.
