The Portuguese club will take part once again in the Donosti Cup, this time with 1G12, 1B12, and 1G14

20 de March de 2025

Sport Lisboa e Benfica, one of Europe’s most prestigious football clubs, has confirmed its participation in the Donosti Cup 2025. This will be the ninth time the Lisbon-based club takes part in the tournament, reaffirming its commitment to youth football and the development of young talent.

Founded in 1904, Benfica is Portugal’s most decorated team, with 80 national titles, including 38 league championships and 26 Portuguese Cups. On the international stage, the club has won two European Cups and reached ten continental finals, securing its place among the elite of European football.

Benfica’s history at the Donosti Cup is long and distinguished. It was a pioneer in the girls’ competition, taking part in the very first edition of the female category in 1994. In recent years, Benfica has been a key contender in the final stages of the tournament: in 2024, the club reached two finals, and in 2023, it won two titles with its girls' teams. For this edition, Benfica will be competing with two girls’ teams and one boys’ team, once again emerging as one of the clubs to watch in San Sebastián.

The Donosti Cup 2025 will once again showcase the talent of Benfica. Bem-vindo!
