More Mexican soccer than ever before in the Donosti Cup

The Donosti Cup 2025 is barely five months away from starting, and over 15 Mexican teams have already registered for this new tournament edition. Nearly 50 different Mexican clubs have participated in the event's history, and Mexico is emerging this year as the third-most represented foreign country, behind only the United States and France.

Last year, 17 Mexican teams took part in the competition, with 16 teams already registered for 2025, five months before the start of the tournament. Real Sociedad Cuauhtémoc is the Mexican club with the highest number of entries, 6 in total, a milestone that makes it the oldest Mexican club. It is followed by Barça Academy, which will participate in the tournament for the third consecutive year.

In the coming weeks, several Mexican clubs are expected to confirm their participation, which could bring the number of Aztec teams to 20. This would be a milestone in the history of the tournament.

This increase in the number of Mexican teams participating reflects Mexican soccer's strong connection and growing interest in the Donosti Cup, which continues to be an international benchmark for young players.
