Alfa Laval becomes the Official Sponsor and Partner of the Donosti Cup Women's Football
A strategic alliance to promote equality in women's sports
The Donosti Cup and Alfa Laval, in their joint commitment to promote equality, announce this sponsorship agreement in the framework of the 30th anniversary of women's participation in the tournament. Alfa Laval, a Swedish company and, a world leader in heat transfer, separation, and fluid handling with a clear focus on energy efficiency and CO2 reductions, becomes Official Sponsor of the Donosti Cup and Partner of Women's Football.
The agreement was signed on Wednesday 25th at Alfa Laval's headquarters in Madrid and was attended by Iñigo Olaizola, founder and director of the Donosti Cup, Javier Ortiz, General Manager of Alfa Laval Ibérica and Amaia Martín, HR Director and Head of CSR at Alfa Laval Ibérica.
Among the highlights of the agreement are the sponsorship of three women's categories, the creation of a section specialized in women's soccer on social networks, and the establishment of two new awards: Best Player and Best Coach of the Tournament.
The Donosti Cup, through its "Equality Program", strives to increase female participation, improve visibility and achieve genuine equality at all levels of its organization. During these three decades, more than 1,800 women's teams and 30,000 players from 30 countries on five continents have participated in the tournament. Renowned clubs such as Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético Madrid or SL Benfica, as well as players who are now world champions, such as Irene Paredes or Jennifer Hermoso, have left their mark on the Donosti Cup.
