Elite technology has already arrived to grassroots football
The Donosti Cup and OLIVER have announced a collaboration agreement that confirms the tournament's commitment to innovation. The event took place at Oliver's headquarters and was attended by Iñigo Olaizola, director of the Donosti Cup and Sergi Seró, Project Sales Manager of OLIVER.
As a result of the agreement, the participants of the Donosti Cup will be able to benefit from a discount on the purchase of OLIVER GPS devices, which they will receive on their arrival in San Sebastian and which they will be able to use to monitor their performance and measure themselves against other players.
Performance improvement and injury prevention
OLIVER makes data management, which is common in elite clubs, accessible to sports categories that traditionally have not had access, as is the case of grassroots football teams. This tool is a GPS device capable of collecting performance metrics, maximum speed, ball handling, distance covered and kick strength, among others. In addition, OLIVER uses artificial intelligence and Big Data to read player efficiency and reduce the risk of injury by up to 45%, thanks to internal and external load monitoring. The device is connected to a mobile application, which can be used by each player, as well as by coaches, reviewing the performance of their entire team.

Statistics and ranking of the participants
All players who have an OLIVER GPS during the tournament will be able to compare their metrics with those of the other participants thanks to the OLIVER Ranking. Also, through the social networks of the Donosti Cup we will publish the statistics of the players with the best performance, awarding the OLIVER prize to the player with the highest score.
OLIVER in the Donosti Cup Finals
As in the Kings League, the OLIVER team will be present at the finals of the Donosti Cup. All the finalists in the eleven-a-side football categories will be able to use OLIVER devices to measure their performance, allowing us to share statistics from the matches, such as the fastest players or hitting power.
