Oman debuts in the Donosti Cup with Genoa International School of Soccer
The club from Oman will be the eleventh Arab country to participate in the Donosti Cup, and it will do so with an under-13 team.
For the first time in the history of the Donosti Cup, the Sultanate of Oman will be represented in the tournament, marking a milestone for Omani soccer and adding a new country to the list of participating Arab nations. The Arab country will be represented by the Genoa International School of Soccer, an institution known for its excellence and dedication to sports development.
Genova International School of Soccer, based in Oman's capital city of Muscat, is recognized for its professional approach and commitment to the Spanish style of soccer. Led by an experienced Spanish coach, the academy offers world-class sporting facilities and a highly trained staff to foster the growth of young players.
This is not the first international foray for the Genova International School of Soccer, which operates in multiple countries, including Mexico, Uzbekistan, Spain, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Australia, Malta, Greece, and Cyprus. Its residential program provides players with the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a professional environment and live day-to-day life as European soccer players.
Although it cannot guarantee professional contracts 100%, the academy is committed to guiding its talents to European standards and facilitating opportunities to try out for interested clubs at the end of their training.
Oman's presence in the Donosti Cup marks a significant milestone in the tournament's expansion, reaching 82 participating countries since the tournament's beginning in 1992.
