The multicultural Lagos Soccer Academy from Nigeria made its debut in the Donosti Cup last year. It has confirmed its participation in the Donosti Cup 2025 with its B12 team. Founded two years ago by Standly Uwem, former Barça Academy coach in Lagos, this academy gathers players from different nationalities such as Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Argentina, and Lebanon.

Last year, they did well in the tournament, but Real Sociedad Japan eliminated them in the knockout round. Since then, the academy has established itself as a reference in Nigerian youth soccer, offering its players a platform to develop their talent, learn, and compete at the highest level. The Donosti Cup 2025 will be a new opportunity for Lagos Soccer Academy to show its potential and continue to grow.

Six Nigerian clubs, including this one, have participated in the Donosti Cup. The first was Pepple United FC, followed by Likki British School, Regent School Abuja, British International School, Barça Academy, and Lagos Soccer Academy itself. Of all of them, the one with the best record is Pepple United FC, which won the B19 category in 2003. The one with the most participation is the British International School, which has done it in five editions.

From the Donosti Cup, we warmly welcome Lagos Soccer Academy.  E ku abo, Lagos Soccer Academy!
