More than 300 teams have already confirmed their participation in the Donosti Cup 2024
The USA heads the list of foreign countries, with 61 teams registered
Excitement is growing as we get closer to the 32nd edition of the Donosti Cup, which will take place between the 1st and 7th of July 2024. With more than 300 teams registered, there is every indication that the event will reach the numbers of the last edition.
Diversity is a distinctive feature of the Donosti Cup, and this year is no exception. By country, Spain leads the ranking with a total of 115 registered teams, followed closely by the United States with 61 teams and France with 30. In total, there are now 14 countries represented in the tournament. In particular, it is exciting to note the return to the tournament of teams from Switzerland, Ireland, Denmark, Greece and Brazil after a number of years of absence, which promises to add an even greater international dimension to the tournament.
As for the men's categories, B12, B11 and B14 lead the way in terms of number of teams entered. On the women's side, the G14, G17 and G12 categories occupy the top positions, with female participation on the rise.
One of the highlights of this edition is the celebration of the 30th anniversary of women's participation in the tournament. The organisers are committed to making this a special occasion, and the response has been overwhelming, with the number of women's teams entered exceeding 25% of the total, underlining the steady growth of women's football in the Donosti Cup.
