Registration closed to join the Donosti Cup Staff
Over 500 new candidates want to be part of the team that makes the tournament possible
On Tuesday, April 15th, the registration period to join the Donosti Cup 2025 staff officially closed. Once again, the result has been a great success: more than 250 returning members and 500 new candidates have expressed their interest in joining the team that makes the tournament possible.
Each summer, around 500 people contribute to the organization of the tournament, which this year will take place from July 7th to 13th. From central office tasks to field delegates, and including cleaning staff, catering teams, guides, or Fan Zone monitors... the driving force of the Donosti Cup is, without a doubt, the commitment and enthusiasm of its people.
As with every edition, the Donosti Cup continues to evolve. In 2024, we introduced the role of host, a person responsible for assisting teams at their accommodation. In 2025, we go one step further with the introduction of the online guide. The traditional guide role is one of the most beloved in the tournament, forging lasting bonds between teams and the organization over the years. The online guide will not replace this role, but rather complement it —offering remote support to teams that prefer it, and providing assistance from the central office throughout their stay in Donostia.
This year, 250 people will return to their roles as guides, delegates, assistant delegates, or Fan Zone monitors, leaving around 100 open positions to be filled from the nearly 500 new candidates. These roles are mainly aimed at young people, especially students, seeking a unique, international, and enriching experience.
The selection process starts this week, including an initial online test, personal interviews, and for those selected, a training phase before the tournament.
From the organization, we just want to say thank you to everyone who signed up. We’re excited to see so much interest and enthusiasm to be part of the big family that makes the Donosti Cup happen every summer.
Good luck in the process, and we hope to see you in July!
