The Donosti Cup 2023 is preparing for a historic edition
The registration period for national and foreign teams for the Donosti Cup 2023 has come to an end with a resounding success. More than 500 teams from 23 different countries have confirmed their participation in the 31st edition of the event, making it once again one of the most important in the world.
In the list of countries with the largest representation in the tournament, Spain leads the ranking with 306 teams registered, followed by the USA with 80 teams and France with 59 teams. In addition, teams from countries as diverse as Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Chile, China, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, United Kingdom, Democratic Republic of Congo, Western Sahara and Uzbekistan will also take part in the event.
The categories with the highest participation are B12, B14 and B13 in the men's categories, and G17, G14 and G12 in the women's categories, demonstrating the growing interest in grassroots soccer both nationally and internationally.
Although the registration period for national and foreign teams has ended, the registration period for local teams will open on May 16, which will allow more teams to participate in the event.
The Donosti Cup has established itself as one of the most important sporting events in San Sebastian and attracts thousands of fans every year. This new edition promises to be a resounding success and is expected to exceed the expectations of previous years.
