We introduce you the All Star Female Team of the Donosti Cup 2021!
Most of the players of the list are from Catalonia this year that also includes a couple of Basque players and a Portuguese player.
As in every edition, Donosti Cup selects it’s all star team among the players who played in the finals of the tournament.
This year, and given that the teams from Catalonia won 5 out of 6 categories, the ideal eleven is based on players from that region plus two Basque players and a Portuguese star.
The goalie Dana Torres has been the chosen one to protect the all start team.
The defense is formed by Gabriela Mota and Paula Rojas as central defenders, and Ane Perez and Erika Garayalde on the wings.
Paula Redruello, MVP of the G14 category with Futfem Talents, joins Mafalda Prista and Emma Sarasibar as midfielders.
The offensive three are the strikers Alba Cepeda, G10 category’s MVP with Futfem Talents, Dana Yazbeck, MVP of G17 with the same club, and Sara Roda, G25’s MVP with Eibar.
To know a little better these players who form the ideal XI of the Donosti Cup 2022 we can say that Ane Perez "Puyi" is a starter with SD Eibar in the Iberdrola League. Paula Rojas, who participated in the G19 category with Futfem Talents, plays this year in 1st National Women's League with the Balearic team AD Son Sardina and last season she played in the Iberdrola Challenge League with UD Collerense. Catalan striker Dana Yazbeck, still a youth U18 player, has already played 4 games with Espanyol de Barcelona scoring a goal in the Reto Iberdrola league.
Sara Roda, the striker from Errenteria who won the MVP of the G25 category at the age of 19, has already made her debut in the Primera Iberdrola with Real Sociedad and is currently playing with Eibar B, leading the Liga Vasca Femenina (top regional league). In the same category, with Añorga KKE B plays the defender Erika Garayalde. In the Sporting de Gijón women's C of regional category plays the 14 years old MVP Paula Redruello.
Portuguese player Mafalda Prista Mariano plays for Benfica in the U19 category although she participated in the tournament with the G16 category. Last November she participated with the Portugal national team in the qualifier for the U17 Women's European Championship playing 3 matches. Finally, the young Emma Sarasibar of Osasuna is a regular in the call-ups of the U12 Navarra Regional Team.
