Vicky López Wins the 2024 Golden Girl Award
Tuttosport names the Barça star as the best U-21 player in Europe. She will receive the award on December 16 in Turin.
The 18-year-old Spanish prodigy, Vicky López, has been crowned 2024 Golden Girl by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport, recognizing her as the best U-21 female footballer in Europe. The FC Barcelona star will officially receive the award at the gala in Turin on December 16.
Vicky is no stranger to the Donosti Cup, where she left a lasting impression with her skill and leadership. She participated in multiple editions with Madrid CFF before signing with Barça when she was just 15 years old. Among her achievements in the tournament, she was crowned champion in 2018 and runner-up in 2019.
Now a key player for FC Barcelona, she played a pivotal role in the club's historic quadruple during the 2023-24 season. Her versatility allows her to excel as an interior midfielder, winger, or even a ‘false 9,’ combining dribbling, scoring, and creativity. She has also debuted with Spain’s senior national team after shining in youth categories.
The Donosti Cup organization congratulates Vicky on this well-deserved honor and is proud to have witnessed her early steps in football. Congratulations, champion!
