The Girls Unite squad, winners of the Fair Play award at the Gothia Cup 2023, make their debut in this year's Donosti Cup.
Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, they join the 32nd edition of the tournament.
Girls Unite, a girls' soccer club from the San Francisco Bay Area, is preparing for its first appearance in the Donosti Cup. Founded in 2015 by Lindsay Kauffman, the club has been noted for its focus on the holistic development of young female players. With an unwavering commitment to women's soccer for over fifteen years, Kauffman has led Bay Area girls to fall in love with soccer, fostering their strength, health, and confidence.
Following their participation in international tournaments such as the Gothia Cup and Dana Cup, Girls Unite will bring talent and sportsmanship to San Sebastian. In Sweden and Denmark, the girls were praised for their fair play and teamwork and won the Gothia Cup Fair Play award for their sportsmanship and team spirit.
Now, with an eye on the Donosti Cup 2024, Girls Unite is preparing to write a new chapter in its history. The club will compete in the G14 category on the 30th anniversary of female participation in the tournament.
From the organization, we welcome Girls Unite and hope that their participation will leave an indelible memory in all members of the club, marking the beginning of a lasting connection.
