760 teams will participate in the 30th anniversary of the Donosti Cup!
There is a significant increase compared to 2019 when 641 teams took part.
Once the registration period has ended, the grassroots football clubs have proved that the pandemic is behind them. Up to 760 teams from 20 different countries have confirmed their participation in a very special edition; the 30th anniversary of the Donosti Cup. This figure represents an absolute record of participation, surpassing the 2019 record by more than 100 teams.
The Donosti Cup, which will be held from the 3rd to the 9th of July, will count, as usual, with a great variety of local, national, and foreign teams. Some of them will come from as far away as Chile, Japan, or the Republic of Congo. The United States will once again lead the ranking of foreign countries for the third consecutive year with a total of 80 teams. Other countries represented are France, Andorra, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, United Kingdom, Sweden, Chile, Bolivia, El Salvador, Honduras, Lebanon, Palestine, Japan, the Republic of Congo, etc. On a national level, most of the regions will have at least a team. Basque Country, Catalonia, and Madrid are the ones with more teams taking part.
Some of the most outstanding clubs in this edition will be Olympique Lyon, recent champions of the Women's Champions League, Benfica, BK Hagën (Sweden), Orlando City (USA), CF Pachuca (Mexico), Olimpia (Honduras), RSD Español and Real Oviedo to name a few.
We would like to thank all the participating teams for choosing the Donosti Cup to end your season.
Ongietorri, welcome!
