The Donosti Cup 2023 has set a new participation record. With an impressive increase of 100 teams compared to the previous edition, the event has beaten all expectations and is positioned as one of the largest international grassroots soccer competitions in the world.
The event, which brings together youngsters from all over the planet, has attracted teams from 21 different nationalities, making San Sebastian the global meeting point for youth soccer.
Among the teams registered are representatives from countries such as Australia, Belgium, China, Ghana, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan and the United States, among others. Passion and talent will come together on the fields of the Basque Country, where players will show their skills and compete for the prestigious title of the Donosti Cup.
The participation data by category reveals the enormous acceptance that the tournament has had. In the men's categories, a total of 689 teams will participate, while 170 teams will participate in the women's categories, another of the important records of this edition. The local teams have not wanted to miss this new edition and will participate with more than 300 teams from San Sebastian and different localities of the geography of Gipuzkoa.
