Donosti Cup 2025 Surpasses 100 Female Teams
With eight months to go until the 33rd edition, the tournament reaches the milestone of 100 teams in record time.
With eight months remaining before the Donosti Cup 2025, the tournament has already surpassed 100 female teams registered, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to the growth of women’s football. This surge reflects the global rise of the sport among young players, with a notable increase in federated licenses and the professionalization of the game across Europe, America, and Asia.
The category with the most teams is G14, with 31 confirmed teams, followed by G12 with 27, G16 with 26, and G19, which will feature 14 teams. Of these, 40% are international, reflecting the tournament's global reach, while 60% are national teams.
